Free Summer Activities for Kids IN SWFL

We have gathered a few free, or nearly free, summer activities for kids that will be happening in SWFL this summer. We’ll be updating this post soon, so don’t forget to like our Facebook Page or to subscribe to our newsletter to be notified about our updates!

Summer Movie Express

Regal’s popular Summer Movie Express program is back for 2015.
The program will run for 9 weeks with select titles playing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the Summer. Admission is only $1 and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute.

Participating Regal Movie Theaters:
– The Regal movie theaters at Bell Tower Shops in Ft. Myers
– The Gulf Coast Town Center in Estero
– The Regal Hollywood 20 in Naples  

All three locations will follow the schedule below:

Week 2 (June 16 and 17)  Earth to Echo & The Boxtrolls
Week 3 (June 23 and 24)  Paddington & Turbo
Week 4 (June 30 and July 1)  Rio 2 & How To Train Your Dragon 2
Week 5 (July 7 and 8)  Mr. Peabody & Book of Life
Week 6 (July 14 and 15)  Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb & Penguins of          Madagascar 
Week 7 (July 21 and 22)  The Lego Movie & Dolphin Tale 2 
Week 8 (July 28 and 29)  Muppets, Most Wanted & Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Week 9 (August 4 and 5)  Teenage Ninja Turtles & The Spongebob Squarepants Movie


Coralwood Cinemas in Cape Coral Free movie schedule:
Movies are Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9:30 am.
Located at 2301 Del Prado Boulevard Cape Coral, FL 33990.
Both movies play each day and you make your selection at the ticket window based on availability.

June 30 and July 1: Rio 2 and How to Train Your Dragon 2
July 7 and 8: The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and Paddington

Movies are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 am.

Kids Skate Free!

Local roller skating rinks are giving passes to registered children to skate! What a great activity for those hot summer days! Each roller skating rink will have their own restrictions but most allow children 12 and under to skate for free!
If the child doesn’t have their own skates, there is a nominal fee for skate rental!

Kids Bowl Free

Select bowling centers and schools around the country are participating in the first ever Kids Bowl Free program. This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer. Children whose age does not exceed a limit by a participating bowling center are eligible to register for 2 free games a day, all summer long, courtesy of the participating bowling centers along with the schools and organizations.
